We’ve taken the AREA 506 Vendor Village to the next level.
In June 2022, we launched the first season of this epic waterfront experience with a diverse collection of nearly 40 retail shops, a performance space, a waterfront Container Lounge, food trucks, public art and pop-up activities, and it’s all wrapped up in more than 60 shipping containers, celebrating everything that’s cool about living in a Port City.
Take a tour!
For the 2023 season, the gates opened on Friday, May 19 and they were open Wednesdays through Sundays until early November with some extended hours when a cruise ship came to town. (i.e. if there’s a cruise ship in, our doors are open) You’ll find the most up-to-date hours of operation at the top of the page or check out our Google listing — it’s always the first to be updated with the latest cruise ship info.
We haven’t nailed down the final schedule for 2024 yet, but it will look similar — opening mid-May and running until early November when the last cruise ship heads out of the Port.
Exciting! We want to hear more, so you should download the Request for Expressions of Interest documents, give them a read and tell us a bit about your business. Expressions of interest will be reviewed as they come in, and we’re looking for new vendors to reach out by December 15, 2023 to be considered for next season.
We’ve focused interest in the Village into a few categories to help us curate a well-rounded group of vendors and to satisfy interest and demand from cruise passengers, local residents and regional tourists:
Still have questions? Reach out by email hidden; JavaScript is required and we’ll do our best to answer them.
We have two options for retail space:
1. A full 40’ container (cash/desk placement is a suggested layout only, interior fixtures are not included)
2. A 20’ container (cash/desk placement is a suggested layout only, interior fixtures are not included)
A 20′ container includes one rolling garage door and one person-door.
A 40′ container includes two rolling garage doors and two person-doors.
Inside the containers? That’s up to you! The insides are painted white with grey concrete-look vinyl tile flooring, and they’re ready and waiting for you to bring them to life.
